What’s trending: why off-white will dominate interior trends in 2026

One of the most exciting colours predicted to be big in interiors in 2026 is… off-white?! Yes, that’s unexpectedly right. Here is why this neutral hue will be everywhere next year, and how to bring it to your home…

Whether your interiors style is classic, contemporary, farmhouse, or Scandi, it’s natural that a calm neutral shade like off-white makes the ideal blank canvas for bringing your dream space to life. It is timeless, versatile, and offers you unlimited design opportunities.

What’s more, Pantone has just announced its Colour of the Year 2026, and it’s none other than a warm off-white, titled Cloud Dancer. Although opinions, from both renovators and industry professionals, are divided, there is no doubt that many brands, whether we’re talking interiors or fashion, will incorporate this neutral tone into their collections next year.

Here at KBB, we actually had ‘off-white’ on our trends prediction list back in 2024, when we created an inspiration gallery brimming with design ideas for your kitchen. From classic Shaker, contemporary, to Scandi, we’re showing you just how versatile and timeless this hue actually is. Also on my radar

Now, I know you’re probably thinking an off-white bathroom has the potential to feel plain and clinical, but, since I love serene interiors, I’ve taken it upon myself to ask the experts for top tips on making this room a bit more interesting with the help of design.

So, by pairing off-white with natural materials (think wood, linen, terracotta), surfaces such as marble worktops, zellige tiles or stone-effect flooring, characterful brassware, and playful shapes and forms, you can completely transform your bathing or showering space into a warm, inviting scheme where you’ll long to spend a few relaxing moments in the morning or evening.

Now you see it, now you don’t! This moody breakfast cupboard is neatly tucked away behind cupboard doors. (A great trick if you love hosting and want to get dishes or ingredients out of sight and out of mind during the party.)

This bedroom design feels warm and welcoming. The neutral walls make the perfect backdrop for mixing and matching toasted tones, different materials, and tactile finishes.

I’m all about romanticising life and interiors – I love how this sophisticated bathroom with elegant details, such as the curved marble edges and intricate shower seat, is flooded with natural light.
