Storage ideas

Our motto here at KBB is ‘the more storage, the better’, which is why we’re bringing you clever solutions and ideas to get your home neat and clean this autumn.

We always champion storage – it’s one of those crucial elements of any design, whether we’re talking kitchens, bedrooms, or bathrooms. With smart solutions and clever ideas you can truly maximise space and benefit from clean and uncluttered interiors. Isn’t it great when everything has its own place?

Starting off in the kitchen, KBB journo Charlotte Luxford has unveiled the most popular storage solutions on everyone’s wishlist right now. Enter: breakfast cupboards, utility rooms, and pantries. The former is ideal for storing all your morning must-haves, such as cereal, small appliances like your coffee machine and juicer, jams and bread – plus, it can even double up as a pantry.

However, if you’ve got ample space available in your kitchen, you might want to consider a walk-in design. Think of it as an extension of the main kitchen space where you can house bulkier appliances like mixers and blenders and have all your non-perishable cooking and baking essentials neatly organised in one space.

A utility room has quickly become a renovators’ favourite thanks to all the benefits it offers. It can have multiple uses, from using it as a prep space, laundry zone, or boot room, and it maximises your home’s storage capacity. But for the full lowdown on these three wishlist items, click here.
