The festive season is in full swing, so what better time to put the finishing touches to your Christmas schemes and spruce up the guest rooms than now?
Have you decorated your home for the holidays yet? I’ve set up my tree in the living room, which I’ve adorned with red and gold baubles and twinkling fairy lights, brought out the faux fir garlands and scented candles, and scattered seasonal soft furnishings throughout the home. So (granted I’m on the nice list), Santa can drop my and my guests’ presents anytime now, please and thank you!
However, I’m still purchasing bits for the Christmas tablescape. I’ve eyed some stunning striped crackers to finish off the place settings, and also got some scalloped platters, a patterned runner, and gold paper star hanging decorations on the way.
To help give you a boost of inspiration ahead of the big day, I’ve rounded up five fabulous tablescaping looks that have caught my attention this year: Classic Christmas, Ribbon Renaissance, White Christmas, Minimalist luxe, and Into the forest. (And yes, I’ve stolen some ideas for my own scheme, too.)

Also on my radar…
Are you expecting friends and family over to yours this holiday season? Then, your guest rooms should be up to par. If you don’t know where to begin, I like to imagine what I would need when staying over at a hotel, for example – think cotton towels, relaxing aromatherapy, a plush robe, some nice toiletries or comfortable slippers.
To help you get your basics sorted and breathe life into your guest bathroom, I’ve rounded up some quick, easy fixes – from vanity mirrors, quirky bath mats, to new accessories. Click here to get inspired.

- One of the most popular motifs in the homeware department at the moment is the bow, whether on its own or used to decorate pieces such as table lamps, candle sticks, or furniture. And what’s not to love? It has a soft, romantic allure and, when paired with metallics, it instantly catches the eye.
- Take this as your sign to give your guest rooms some TLC with a fresh lick of paint, robe hooks, hotel-style cushions and throws, and pillowy sleeping solutions.
- Add calmness to your scheme with pared-back bed linen, Scandi-inspired blonde wood storage tables, and organically shaped ceramics.

New kitchen crush alert – from the dreamy blue pantry and base cabinets, wood island, and mixed metallics, to the detailed sink splashback, this design instantly charmed me!
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, so draw inspiration from Alice Palmer’s tree, embellished with candy cane-like striped ties, sparkling lights, and gleaming tinsel.
Small bathrooms can be characterful, too! And this design proves just that – space in the curved shower wall was optimised with a niche, while a mix of tiles adds depth and oodles of interest. The vanity unit is another strong element, with its intricate shape and matching surfaces.
