Welcome, welcome, 2026. How… exciting … it is that we’re starting a new year. (I type this with a strained grimace grin on my face, trying to convince myself of my own words!) Although, while I’m not the biggest fan of New Year’s (or the prospect of getting another year older), I actually don’t mind the month of January. People always seem to complain that it goes incredibly slow – but for me, that’s a blessing.
January marks that yet another year has been and gone in the blink of an eye, so why not embrace the one month that feels like it goes on forever, I say. It’s the perfect time to let yourselves just ‘be’. All the pressure of Christmas has gone, and you can think back over the past year; be grateful for the good times and contemplate things that maybe didn’t go quite right.
And, at your own pace, you can start thinking about the year ahead. What do you want to include? Anything you’d like to see, or places you’d like to visit?
Time to plan your project
Essentially, January is the perfect month for dreaming and planning – meaning what better time to start a renovation, extension, or home remodel? If you are reading this article, I’m probably safe in saying that’s exactly what you envisage for your 2026. Now that really is exciting!
