If you are ready for your kitchen renovation, why not start gathering inspiration, beginning with the appliances that will guarantee effortless cooking, while adding a touch of style and sophistication to your space.

Here, we’ve selected some of the latest ones to consider, including some very innovative options – think restaurant-quality pizza in just two minutes, and hobs that ‘speak’ directly to your cookware. Nothing is off limits, really… Read on to discover our favourite appliance launches for a next-gen kitchen.

Super-intuitive cooking

Ever wished your pots and pans would ‘communicate’ with your hob? No, it’s not mind tricks, it’s Miele’s upcoming intelligent cooking system. Presented at IFA 2025 and set to be launched in May 2026, it links the new KM 8000 induction hobs with M Sense – the world’s first cookware with integrated touch control and up to three temperature sensors, which communicates with the hob to select the appropriate power setting each time.

Miele’s M Sense-compatible hobs will start at £1599 for the 60cm models.

The system is operated directly on the pot or the pan via the control unit. All you need to do is select a cooking programme and it will regulate itself automatically. M Sense-compatible hobs can be used to support both M Sense and conventional cookware. Choose from 60cm, 80cm, or 90cm wide hobs, with defined zones or full-surface induction, frameless or with a stainless-steel frame.

Obsessed with brew

Smeg’s manual ECF03 coffee machine serves authentic, full-bodied espresso using a 58mm diameter portafilter and non-pressurised filters. Or you can use its cold brew button to get a fresh, cold brew espresso in minutes. There are also three temperature settings for lighter or darker roasts, a steam wand which is great for frothing milk, and a hot water function, ideal for serving Americanos.

Glossy appliances

Sleek, shiny finishes are ideal for creating a contemporary kitchen design. Bertazzoni’s new mirror-finished, built-in ovens – developed in collaboration with industrial design studio MM Design – will help you nail the look.

Their Specchio (‘mirror’ in Italian) surface is the result of an advanced technological process where a thin metallic film is produced through the vaporisation of solid material in a vacuum chamber. This creates a striking reflective effect in Oro (gold), Bronzo (bronze), and Ossidiana (obsidian) finishes.

Next-gen convenience

For cool tech features, turn to AEG and its innovative appliances. The brand’s new dishwasher range, Favorit (provisionally priced from £699.99), combines minimal water consumption (just 8.4 litres) with whisper-quiet operation (as low as 37 dB) – plus the ExtraSilent feature reduces noise levels to as low as 35 dB.

Furthermore, the AEG 7000 MealAssist oven introduces a new PizzaExpert function to help you make restaurant-quality pizza at home in just two minutes and 30 seconds; its in-app digital assistant teaches you how to perfect your dough, too. Finally, the AEG 9000 ProAssist with SteamPro oven will include CamCook, an intelligent feature that uses AI and integrated camera technology to recognise dishes, learn user preferences, and automate cooking settings.

Light as air

The Caso Design AirFry DuoChef delivers quicker and healthier meals, with the added benefit of more space. When used as a dual-basket air fryer, it can prepare several dishes simultaneously without flavour transfer (how about roasting chicken and steaming vegetables at the same time?), or you can turn it into a compact multi-shelf oven for larger family meals. You can switch between two baskets and a full set-up in seconds, while intuitive touch controls make air frying effortless.

Pristine dishwashing

How many times have you put your plates in the dishwasher only to get them out semi-dirty when the wash is done? Well, Haier’s I-Pro Shine dishwasher range boasts a patented Biovitae technology that promises to clean every inch of your silverware. Its LED lighting system, free of UV rays, provides deep sanitisation, eliminating bacteria from both the dishes and the inside of the appliance.

This technology operates at low temperatures, too, helping reduce energy consumption. Plus, thanks to the Odor Safe Mode function, Biovitae lights can minimise odors from dishes loaded progressively before washing, keeping the dishwasher fresh for up to 10 hours. You can also activate the appliance remotely using the hOn app, which will guide you with reminders and personalised tips, too.

Gaggenau has launched not one, not two, but 11 new refrigeration models, so take your pick! The appliances, from its Vario cooling Expressive series, include refrigerators, freezers, a fridge-freezer, and wine climate cabinets, designed to be installed individually or side by side, with the material palette including dark brushed stainless steel, anthracite aluminium, and glass. They boast stable temperature and humidity conditions, while select models have integrated cameras, too.

Opulent extraction

Franke’s Mythos Masterpiece Extended collection has welcomed a new wall-mounted hood that combines a refined design with industrial edge. Its tactile, matt black finish, complete with the brand’s signature metallic finishes of gold, copper, and anthracite, offers a truly luxurious, statement piece. The hood works for either fully ducted installation to the exterior with an optional chimney, or as a recirculation model with an easy-to-remove and clean charcoal filter.

It is 80cm wide, includes a dimmable LED lighting system, four speed settings with a maximum of 750m3/h on intensive, and a decibel rating of 44dBA. Best of all, it features Franke’s K-Link technology, which synchronises the hood and induction hob, adjusting the extraction power based on the hob’s activity.

Appliances drenched in soft hues

Dualit’s iconic Classic toaster has received a pastel makeover. The new Sandstone and Sage shades complement natural textures and earthy palettes, while the toaster’s brushed stainless-steel body adds industrial-chic contrast. The two- and four-slot toasters feature the ProHeat technology for consistent browning, an energy-efficient slot selector, and manual ejector lever.

Recognisable for its curvaceous silhouette, the mixer comes with a 4.7 litre stainless-steel bowl and standard accessories including a wire whisk, dough hook, and paddle.

Its tilt-head design lets you lift the head to add ingredients, change attachments, or scrape the bowl, while the powerful motor handles everything from whipping egg whites to kneading bread dough.
