Say hello to our February issue – out now! This month, we’re bringing you the kitchen features, styles, and colour palettes of 2026, stunning bedroom walls and floors, the wetroom evolution, and so much more…
I look back at fashion trends from the early 2010s and slightly shudder with horror. Remember denim skirts adorned with wide belts? Or, there was a particular winter where black silk shorts and heels were a thing. (I’m very glad that going out in trainers is now acceptable, if not encouraged.) This is probably why, when you talk to any interior designer or architect, they will say they ignore trends.

And I can understand this mentality, to a degree: when you’re working on something such as a kitchen, it should be timeless. Especially with the amount of money you invest in them – it’s important you like what you’ve chosen for as long as you remain in the house.
Kitchen trends for 2026
However, I’m not entirely sure that means you should ignore what’s trending. Trends in interiors, unlike in fashion, tend to rise over a couple of years, then hang around even longer. So, really, when we predict the main kitchen palettes, looks, and styles of 2026, it’s more about what we think we’re going to see more of, what people are loving and daring to introduce. For me, they’re additional ideas and inspiration to help with your project, not things that will be out of season in 12 months.

Indeed, I very much enjoyed collating my top nine trends for 2026. Included are looks we’ve been predicting will boom, as well as styles that have been around for a couple of years now but are evolving into something new.
Practical and inspirational features
Of course, here at KBB, we go deeper than just looking at trends. We deal with lots of practical yet inspirational topics in this issue, too: from the latest shower set-ups, all the way to helping you design the perfect cooking zone.
My question to you is, how many of these looks and ideas will you be introducing into your project? Make sure to let me know!

I hope you enjoy the issue,
