Mid-century glam

Picture statement stone, sculptural furniture pieces, accent seating, and a decadent colour palette – mid-century style has had a glamorous makeover.

But first, what is mid-century style? As suggested by the name, it emerged in the middle of the 20th century, featuring furniture with sleek lines, geometric shapes, and rounded, curvy designs. Fast forward to today, and mid-century style has had a glittering makeover. It is sleek, sophisticated and reminiscent of luxurious boutique hotels. Think sculptural side tables, marble surfaces, statement, curved seating, metallic lighting, and velvet and silk materials. As for the colour palette, it boasts an alluring palette of decadent browns, chalky pastels, and jewel tones such as dark greens and blues.
